Collomak Topical Solution Keratolytic, 10ml

Product Name & Strength: Collomak Solution, 10 mL (Salicylic acid 20% w/w, Lactic acid 5% w/w, Polidocanol 2% w/w).

Indications (Approved Uses): Indicated for the treatment of warts.

Contraindications (Safety Warnings): Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the excipients. Do not use on open wounds, irritated or reddened skin, or infected areas. Do not use on the face, anogenital regions, moles, birthmarks, mucous membranes, warts with hair growing from them, red edges, or unusual colours. Avoid application to normal skin. Use is not advised in children or teenagers during or immediately after viral infections such as chickenpox, influenza, or other viral illnesses due to the theoretical risk of Reye's syndrome. Use is not recommended in patients with diabetes, circulatory problems, or peripheral neuropathy unless under the supervision of a doctor. Not recommended during pregnancy or lactation.

Side Effects (Adverse Reactions): Very common reactions include application site reaction, pruritus, burning sensation, erythema, scaling, and dryness. Common side effects include rash and skin hypertrophy. Rare reactions include application site hypersensitivity (including inflammation), pain, irritation, skin discoloration, and allergic dermatitis. Exposure to healthy skin can lead to application site blistering and skin exfoliation.

Nutritional Information (per 10 mL): Salicylic acid 2.0g, Lactic acid 0.5g, Polidocanol 0.2g.

Instructions for Use / Dosage: For topical administration. Adults, the elderly, and children aged 2 years and over: Apply daily to the affected areas once, preferably at bedtime. Soak the wart in warm water for 5 minutes and dry thoroughly. Rub the surface of the wart with a nail file, pumice stone, emery board, or coarse washcloth, taking care not to cause bleeding. Apply a thin layer of Collomak directly to the wart, taking care to avoid healthy surrounding skin. Allow the solution to dry thoroughly. The wart should be covered with a plaster if it is large or located on the foot to help penetration. Treatment should continue until the wart is cleared or for a maximum of 12 weeks. Children under the age of 12 years should be treated under supervision. Treatment of infants under the age of 2 years is not recommended.
