Product Name & Strength: Menthodex Cough Syrup, 1 x 100 mL or 1 x 200 mL in amber glass bottles.

Indications (Approved Uses): Indicated for the comprehensive management and relief of colds, sore throats, and irritating, chesty coughs. It is officially approved for treating dry coughs, productive coughs, throat irritation, and nasal congestion. The synergistic formulation acts as an expectorant, anti-inflammatory, and natural decongestant to soothe irritated throat tissues, clear blocked airways, and break down mucus. It provides a cooling sensation and local anaesthesia for throat comfort, making it particularly effective for nighttime cough relief and promoting easier breathing.

Contraindications (Safety Warnings): Contraindicated in children under 2 years of age and in individuals with a known allergy to any of the ingredients. Pregnant and breastfeeding women must consult a healthcare provider before use due to limited safety data. Caution must be exercised if taken concurrently with decongestant medications, and patients must check with a doctor if using asthma medications. It may interact with cough suppressants and sedative medicines. Concurrent use of alcohol must be strictly avoided. Use must be discontinued and medical attention sought if symptoms worsen or persist beyond 5 days.

Instructions for Use / Dosage: For oral/topical administration. For oral administration. The mixture can be used as both an oral medicine and a gargle solution. Shake well before use. Adults and children 12 years and over should take 5 to 10 mL every 4 to 6 hours. Children aged 6 to 12 years should take 2.5 to 5 mL every 4 to 6 hours. Children aged 2 to 5 years should take 1.25 to 2.5 mL every 4 to 6 hours. Do not exceed a maximum of 4 doses in any 24-hour period for all age groups.
