Osworth Vitamin C Syrup, 100ml

Product Name & Strength: Osworth Vitamin C Syrup. Each 5 ml contains Ascorbic Acid 100 mg. Available in a 100 ml PET bottle.

Indications (Approved Uses): Indicated for the development of bone and teeth. It is used for the promotion of wound healing. It aids in the buildup of the body immune system. It is indicated for the treatment of cold and scurvy.

Contraindications (Safety Warnings): Contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients. Do not use in patients with haemochromatosis or thalassaemia, as the product increases gastrointestinal absorption of iron. It should not be used in patients with a predisposition to oxalate-urolithiasis or those with phenylketonuria due to the presence of aspartame. Patients with impaired renal function should be monitored due to the risk of calcium oxalate calculi formation. High intakes may cause haemolysis in patients with erythrocytic glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency. It is preferable to avoid use during pregnancy, and it should not be used during breastfeeding. This product contains sorbitol and is not recommended for patients with fructose intolerance.

Side Effects (Adverse Reactions): High doses (above 1 g) can trigger digestive disorders such as gastric burning or diarrhoea. Urinary disorders, including the precipitation of urate, cystine, and/or oxalate stones, may occur in some subjects. In individuals with G6PD deficiency, high doses may cause haemolysis.

Instructions for Use / Dosage: For oral administration. (A) Dietary Supplement (2–12 years): 2.5–5 ml daily. (B) Dietary Supplement (Above 12 years): 5–10 ml daily. (C) Treatment (2–12 years): 2.5–5 ml three times daily. (D) Treatment (Above 12 years): 5–10 ml three times daily.
