Indications (Approved Uses): Indicated for the symptomatic relief of minor aches, pains, and stiffness associated with muscles and joints. It is universally utilised as a topical analgesic and counter-irritant for conditions such as muscular strains, sprains, simple backache, lumbago, fibrositis, bruising, and mild arthritic or rheumatic discomfort.

Contraindications (Safety Warnings): Contraindicated in individuals with a known hypersensitivity or allergic reactivity to methyl salicylate, salicylates, menthol, camphor, or any of the structural excipients within the liniment vehicle. It is strictly contraindicated for application onto broken, irritated, infected, or open wounds, as well as mucous membranes and areas adjacent to the eyes. It must absolutely not be used in paediatric patients under 12 years of age without explicit medical advice due to the potential risk of skin irritation or salicylate toxicity. In individuals with sensitive skin, it may precipitate contact dermatitis, severe skin irritation, blistering, or hypersensitivity reactions. Accidental ingestion or excessive, widespread topical application over extensive body surface areas can lead to systemic salicylate toxicity, manifesting as tinnitus, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, or hyperpnoea.

Instructions for Use / Dosage: For topical administration only. Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age should apply a small volume of the liniment to the affected area and massage gently until absorbed, typically up to three to four times daily as required for pain relief. Hands must be washed thoroughly with soap and cool water immediately following application, unless the hands themselves are the intended area of treatment. Avoid hot baths or showers immediately before or after application, as increased skin temperature can intensify the burning sensation.
