Wormin 500 Mebendazole Tablets, 1 Tablet

Product Name & Strength: Wormin 500 Tablet (Mebendazole 500 mg).

Indications (Approved Uses): Indicated for the treatment of intestinal parasitic infections caused by roundworms (Ascaris lumbricoides), hookworms (Necator americanus and Ancylostoma duodenale), whipworms (Trichuris trichiura), threadworms (Strongyloides stercoralis), and certain tapeworm infections. Suitable for both single and mixed helminthic infections in children and adults.

Contraindications (Safety Warnings): Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Mebendazole. Should not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy due to potential fetal harm; use during the second and third trimesters only if clearly needed. Use with caution in patients with liver impairment. It may interact with cimetidine, certain anticonvulsants, and other antiparasitic or gastrointestinal medications. Not intended for disease prevention.

Side Effects (Adverse Reactions): Most patients tolerate the medication well. Occasional mild effects include abdominal pain, diarrhoea, nausea, or vomiting, especially during parasite expulsion. Rare side effects include headache, dizziness, or temporary hair loss.

Nutritional Information (per 500 mg tablet): Mebendazole 500 mg.

Instructions for Use / Dosage: For oral administration. Children and adults should take one 500 mg tablet as a single dose, which may be repeated after 2-3 weeks if needed. Take with food to enhance absorption. The tablet may be chewed, crushed, or swallowed whole.
