Indications (Approved Uses): Indicated for the topical treatment of superficial fungal skin infections caused by susceptible dermatophytes and yeasts, including tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea corporis (ringworm), tinea versicolor (pityriasis versicolor), and cutaneous candidiasis.
Contraindications (Safety Warnings): Contraindicated in individuals with a known hypersensitivity to tioconazole, any other imidazole antifungal agents, or any of the structural excipients present in the dermal cream base. It is strictly not formulated for ophthalmic use and must absolutely not be applied to or near the eyes or surrounding mucous membranes. Systemic absorption following topical application is minimal; however, concurrent administration with other topical preparations on the same targeted area should be avoided to prevent localized interaction or reduced efficacy.
Side Effects (Adverse Reactions): May induce mild, localised skin irritation at the site of application, commonly manifesting as a transient burning or stinging sensation, erythema (redness), pruritus (itching), mild skin peeling, dryness, or localised contact dermatitis.
