Product Name & Strength: Moko Benzyl Benzoate Lotion, 100ml.

Indications (Approved Uses): Indicated for the topical treatment of scabies infestations caused by Sarcoptes scabiei. It is also used as an acaricide for the treatment of other ectoparasitic infections, including head lice and pubic lice.

Contraindications (Safety Warnings): Contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to benzyl benzoate. Do not apply to broken, inflamed, or wounded skin. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes. Use with extreme caution in infants and children, as excessive application has been reported to cause convulsions. Consult a healthcare professional before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Side Effects (Adverse Reactions): Common reactions include mild skin irritation, redness, or a short-lived burning sensation upon application. Excessive application, particularly in infants, may cause difficulty passing urine, fits, or convulsions. Discontinue use immediately and wash with soap and water if severe irritation occurs.

Composition (per 100ml): Benzyl Benzoate BP 25% w/v.

Instructions for Use / Dosage: For topical administration. Shake the bottle well before use. The lotion must be diluted before application: dilute with an equal quantity of water for older children, and with 3 parts of water for babies. Apply the lotion to the entire body surface from the neck down, ensuring thorough coverage of areas between fingers and toes, under nails, and skin folds. Leave on the skin for 24 hours, then wash thoroughly with warm water and soap. Repeat the treatment after 7 days if necessary.
